Sunday Mornings at 10:30 AM
The vision of the EPC Kids Ministry is to partner with parents to raise children who know and love Jesus, who practice serving others with their spiritual gifts, and who enjoy friendship and fellowship here at EPC.
We believe that the responsibility of raising children who know and love God ultimately rests with parents. Our desire at East Parkway Church is to assist parents by offering age-appropriate Bible lessons and activities which encourage and compliment the ministry taking place at home. It is our privilege to be a help and support to you as faithful and Godly parents.
As part of our Sunday worship service, we provide three classes for children described below. However, if you prefer to keep your children with you during the service, we have provided child-friendly sermon sheets in order to help them follow along. They are located on the table in the foyer, along with some crayons. Feel free to take some, or ask one of the ushers to bring them to you. We also provide a Cry Room in which families with infants can enjoy the Sunday Worship service in privacy, whether it is nursing mothers or families with fussy infants.
In the Nursery, our smallest children enjoy a safe and caring environment in which they can play and interact with Kids Ministry volunteers and other children. Their time is filled with music, a Bible story, activities, play time, and a snack.
Kids in Preschool–6th Grade get to worship with their parents and the rest of our East Parkway family, before being invited to their Sunday School class during the sermon. Their time is filled with an interactive Bible lesson, activities, and prayer time to foster their relationships with Jesus, friends, and teachers. In these classes we use age-appropriate levels of Answers Bible Curriculum which presents the Gospel through the chronological teaching of the Bible.
We are ALWAYS looking to partner with solid Christians who have a passion for and are ready to pour into the lives of children. The children look forward to seeing their teachers every week. Working with them is a not only an honor and a privilege, but also a huge blessing! For the safety of our children, we ask our volunteers to fill out an application, be approved by church staff, and submit to a background check.
